The ground

Opened in 1969 as the Nou Estadi del Llevant and renamed Ciutat de València in 1997, the ground holds 26,354 in the north of the city. Levante moved here from the Vallejo, and it has since become the home of both the men's side and a women's team that helped found the professional game in Spain.

Things worth knowing

  • Levante are the oldest club in Valencia, and this ground is a decade older than the city's other modern arena projects.
  • The women's team draws crowds here that outdraw several men's second-division clubs.
  • Sits in the Orriols district, well away from Mestalla on the other side of the city.
  • Levante beat Barcelona 5–4 here in 2018 to end their unbeaten league season.
