The ground
Opened in 1941 beside the Guadalmedina riverbed and holding 30,044. La Rosaleda hosted matches at the 1982 World Cup and was the setting for Málaga's Champions League run in 2012–13. The ground stayed close to full through the club's fall to the third tier, which is the strongest argument for its inclusion on the 2030 venue list.
