The ground

Opened in 1944 next to Riazor beach and holding 32,490. It hosted three matches at the 1982 World Cup and was the setting for Deportivo's 2000 title and the 4–0 comeback against Milan in 2004. Crowds stayed near capacity through four seasons in the third division, which is the single most quoted fact about the club.
