Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content — most often video. Embedded content from another website behaves exactly as if you had visited that website yourself: it can collect data about you, set its own cookies, and track your interaction with it.
Where we embed video we use the privacy-enhanced player, which does not set tracking cookies unless you press play.
Images and media
Images are served from our own storage rather than from third-party hosts, so viewing an article does not hand your request to another company.
Who we share your data with
Nobody, other than the infrastructure providers needed to serve the site — hosting, storage and the content delivery network in front of them. They process requests on our behalf and nothing more.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained only as long as they are useful for operations and security, and then discarded.
What rights you have over your data
If you are in the EU or UK, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Since we do not run accounts, in practice this is limited to request logs.
Third-party football data
Live scores, tables and fixtures shown on this site are supplied by an external football data provider. Requesting a page that shows them does not share anything about you with that provider — we fetch the data on our own servers, on a schedule, and serve you the stored copy.
